Featured Lawtina Story: Nicole Perdomo

We hope you feel inspired by Nicole Perdomo's story of resilience. So very proud of this incredibly strong Lawtina!

My name is Nicole Perdomo, but family and friends know me as Nickie.
I’m currently a 3L at Barry University School of Law, graduating in May of 2020.
My law school journey has been anything but smooth sailing. My grandmother passed in my first year of law school and shortly after my younger brother was diagnosed with cancer. Remaining focused in school knowing that my family was in great pain was probably one of the hardest experiences I had to endure thus far. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become an attorney and help others, so I knew despite the hardship I had to persevere. While in school, I discovered that I have a passion for entertainment law and realized that I want to help artists, inventors, etc.  with their contracts or work in intellectual property. I am a proud Latina who is a first generation American. I serve on the E-board for the Hispanic American Law Student Association (HALSA), and am an active member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society (SELS), as well as a member of the American Constitution Society (ACS).  For the younger generation:
As cliché as this may sound, do not give up on your dream or ultimate goal. Persevere regardless of the obstacles in your path.
