Featured Lawtina: Lani Medina
Lani graduated from Fordham University School of Law and currently serves as Corporate Counsel for PetVet Care Centers, a preventative pet care and veterinary service network. In addition, she previously worked at BigLaw firms as an Associate at Clifford Chance and K&L Gates.
Prior to her legal career, Lani served her country in the United States Air Force and was stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas where she received the Information Manager Airman of the Year award. In addition, while completing her undergraduate degree at Columbia University, Lani served as Graduate Coordinator of the Political Science Department and as Program Administrator of the Minority Affairs Office.
In her spare time, Lani represents small businesses and nonprofits in business and corporate law matters. She also serves as a Board member of Youth Voices Center, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting positive youth development, and as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Task Force on Puerto Rico.
When asked what advice she has for her fellow Lawtinas, Lani said, “Do pro bono work regularly!! Not only will you gain invaluable experience doing so, pro bono work makes you feel good.”
