2020 Year in Review Official Lawtina/LawtinaShop
This year has been incredibly difficult, as many of us have challenges in our families, education and work due to the pandemic. I want to first thank you for being a part of our community and for reading this email- you’re truly appreciated.
Because I want to make sure you know that I care about my community, I though I’d share with you some of the highs and lows of 2020 for Lawtina LLC and for me personally.
@OfficialLawtina reaches 7K followers on IG and 10K+ views per month online.
I am in incredibly grateful for reading the blogs, watching the videos, and uplifting each other on social media.
I had the opportunity to interview BIPOC women and allies through Cafecito Time and we all learned so much!
I began recording my podcast which will highlight Lawtinx and BIPOC community members and allies- “Ceiling Half Broken Podcast” which will launch very soon! The title acknowledges that many BIPOC community members are still working towards “breaking the glass ceiling.”
We continued to collaborate in sharing our stories and blogs on the Lawtina Blog and the Lawtinx Stories.
I continued to connect mentors and mentees, and took on more mentees this season- and I look forward to continuing these relationship building!
This year, I lost multiple family members and almost lost one of my parents. I had to step away from Lawtina LLC for three months and dealt with a lot of anxiety and depression. I am grateful for my family, friends and social media besties who helped me through this time and reassured me that we could keep Lawtina going. I definitely struggled financially, and it’s been a huge set back to many businesses too.
I am the type of person who wants to do more- but I had to realize that even though I didn’t outreach for more story telling or interviews- the time I had to step away was necessary to take care of my loved ones and myself.
I am praying 2021 will allow us to building a bigger and stronger community- through the podcast and through Clubhouse panels.
Building a plan and we need you:
